Special Olympics Advertising


Walt: Create an avertisement persuading people to go to the Special Olympics here in Palmerston North. I used MS Publisher to create this poster. To make my poster stand out and grab the readers attention I made the title stand out by making it big and bold. I found making the colours bold difficult because there weren't very many colours that were bold aginst my background. Something I enjoyed was using the laptop to create a a good advertisment. Something interesting I have found out about advertising is that it has to grab the readers attention and has to stand out before you print.

Last week on Friday the 13th of November we had our ST James Scool Athletics up at the Massey Track. A highlight for me was the high jump. Something I found challenging was the 400m sprint.

WALT: Follow an inquiry process.This term as we have been learning about China, we have continued building on the inquiry skills we learnt in Term 2. We brainstorm open questions as a class and then delegated these out to pairs. The part of China Jacob FB and I were finding out more about was Animals & Plants. We found our information by triangulating the information. We used a data chart to make sure our information was correct. We then used Movie Maker to present our information. Something I enjoyed was the filming. An interesting fact I found was that the Giant Panda loves Bamboo. My next learning step inquiry is to be more organised.

This voicethread explains what I have leart during my inquiry on the shortfin eel.Something I did really well during this inquiry process was useing skimming and scanning to find key words to summerizethe main ideas because it makes it alot easier.Next time I do an inquiry something I could improve on is adding more coulor and images to my movie box because it will make it stand out even more.The part I liked best about doing an inquiry was makeing my movie box because it was fun and it better than just prsenting it on plain white A4 paper!

WALA:how Jesus was one of love for God and people.As part of RE and Holy Week, we have been learning about how Jesus lived a life of love-Aroha for God and people.

Jesus callls us to live a life of love just like he did. This comic life shows ways we can be Jesus example of Love.
